Why is the Didgeridoo so special to the Aboriginal people of Australia? Can it heal?

The Didgeridoo or Yidaki

Many sound healers play the didgeridoo in their sound baths. People love the low-frequency vibrations and sound it produces. The didgeridoo has been used by the Aboriginal people of Australia for thousands of years.

John Stuart Reid Inventor of the Cymascope, Acoustics Pioneer, Scientist, and Inventor https://cymascope.com/, who I was privileged to study with states:

There are legends originating from the Aboriginal people of Australia that their “yidaki” (modern name, didgeridoo) was used as a healing tool for many thousands of years. One Aboriginal tradition holds that its primordial sound created the world and everything in it.

*(Note from me- it is a fact that sound organizes matter, so, understandably, they might think that. There is a theory of Abiogenesis which includes sound organizing matter to create the beginning of life on Earth. We study this theory in my Practitioner Certification Training at Sound Healing)

Stories passed down through many generations of their culture tell of healing broken bones, muscle tears, and many kinds of illnesses using their enigmatic musical instrument.

The Yidaki’s acoustic output is in alignment with some modern audible sound therapy devices, particularly in its ability to emit low-frequency sounds rich in harmonics, so it is not surprising that it has healing properties.

Some studies of the benefits of playing the yidaki instrument have been conducted, one of which is a paper in the Journal of Rural Health concluded that yidaki playing alleviated the symptoms of asthma in school children.

* Another study, reported in the British Medical Journal, concluded that it helped sleep apnea.
